We have received a lot of feedback over the past two years that the original Academic Report written by Anna Kitko was daunting to read and sometimes difficult to understand. We have been told that many, many people never actually read it. Some said they didn’t read it because they were encouraged not to by leadership, and others didn’t read it because it was a hard read. The Simplified and Annotated version of the Academic Report is now included on the website in its entirety. In it, we take the original report, and re-write and explain it in common language, with actual examples from Grace Community Maryville added for clarity. The original report is still published on the website, available for you to compare them to be sure that the revised edition is accurate. We encourage you to take the time to read through the Simplified Report, particularly if you have made judgements about what was said without having read it for yourself. If you have read the original Report, the Simplified Report will likely clarify many of the details.
