scrabble tiles spelling website on wooden surface

When a group of us decided to create this website two years ago, we did not know if it would be at all relevant by the time our subscription to the web development service expired. It was a hasty project designed simply as a place to host the report for those who needed to see the findings to gain insight or closure, depending on where they found themselves in life at the time. We also held a vague idea that perhaps some of us might also eventually share our individual stories if we found the courage to do so. We had no idea what this project would become. Now, two years later, the documents and stories shared here are as relevant as ever. In the last month alone, 534 unique individuals visited the site, clearly demonstrating that there are still many in our community searching for something to help them understand what they have experienced. People regularly reach out through our Questions form on this website with their needs and concerns. The gatherings that started as a way for former GCC congregants to share their stories and find answers have become vibrant, regular meetings to offer support for survivors of many different high-control groups across the region, some driving two and three hours each way to participate. We have seen the Lord bring healing and joy in unexpected ways throughout this journey.

The website is now in the process of transitioning to a different hosting service, so you will see some changes to the layout and the design very soon. Please be patient with us if you initially encounter any glitches in our new system. We do not know what the future holds, but we know that we want to be here when people need answers. That is our mission. The original report, our clarified version, the record of GCC’s “abuse document,” and all of the blog posts including personal accounts from former congregants and documentation of wrongdoing by the GCC leadership, will all remain available on the new version of the site. Feel free to explore! Our web address is still gracemaryvillewarning.info, so you know where to find us. We hope you continue to find these resources useful. We intend to be here offering them for as long as they are needed.
